Internet Marketing Beginners: Their Worst (network marketing) 10 Mistakes
By Steve Weber
I work with many beginners and I see them making the same mistakes over and overtime and again. In fact, I made many of these same mistakes myself when I first begain online marketing. I have here the list of the top 10 mistakes that are most commonly made by newbie online marketers.
1. I see too many newbies paying twenty dollars a month or more for hosting their sites. There is absolutely no reason for this. An excellent hosting account can be bought for five or six dollars each month. This is more than enough for most beginning Internet needs.
2. Many beginners begin their sites by sticking many affiliate links all over the pages. This is a huge mistake. When Google sees a page with many affiliate links all across it, they are liable to believe it is nothing but another affiliate site. They do not like sites made specifically for affiliate marketing products. Don’t make yours look like another spam site made only for affiliate marketing.
3. Also Google AdWords is a great way to promote products online, it is a very difficult marketing method to learn. It requires great practice, plenty of money to work with as the clicks cost money. Too many beginners assume Google AdWords is a very easy way to make money online. Nothing could be further from the truth.
4. You may have heard content is key. However, many beginners fail to understand that content must be original. tI cannot be copied content from anyplace found on the web. It must all be written in original content. You may rewrite something, but it must be seen by Google as completely original.
5. Many beginners find it difficult to find images to use on their website. They often end up stealing those images from other sites. That is a very bad mistake to make. There are photo services and image services online where you can obtain images quite cheaply. Never take and use an image form another site without that site’s permission.
6. Beginners often learn so much about internet marketing in the beginning they become overloaded. They find themselves scattered here and there and lose focus. This is a big reason many internet marketers simply quit before they see any success. Beginners need to insure they stay focused. This is where having a mentor becomes very important.
7. Many beginners want to sell physical products online. Before they even test the idea, they install a shopping cart, or pay for a shopping cart system for their website. They should not do this without first testing the product in order to make sure the idea will work. It is best to use a simple PayPal shopping cart in the beginning.
8. Be very careful of the information products you purchase. Many of them are spam products or scam products. They should not be trusted just by their sales pages. Do research on the seller before you purchase!
9. Paying $20 or more to be listed in hundreds of search engines is a complete waste of money. I do not submit my sites to search engines at all. I use methods in which they find them on their own. Simple “submitting a site to Google” is a waste of time. They need to see some links to your site from other sites…such as simple directories.
10. The top mistake beginners make is expecting income right away. That simply will not happen! I often wonder why so many beginners think it is normal and natural to spend 4 years getting a college degree in order to have success in a career, yet the same folks expect to make money in their Internet marketing careers in a matter of days or weeks.

The world of Mobile Marketing
By Jessica Thomson
The word Mobile Marketing can be explained in two meanings. Traditionally, this word is associated with a type of advertising through moving item such as the advertisements seen on the taxis, buses, blimps and so on. However, in the recent times, this term is being associated with marketing through cell phones. In this kind of Mobile marketing, ads are delivered through text messages or the calls from prompt senders.
Since the term Mobile Marketing is getting more popularly associated with mobile phones, it does not necessarily imply that conventional mobile marketing is not sufficiently effective or less significant. All the methods, whether conventional or modern is used to promote a wide range of items. A text message received from a service, or an ad of colourful Hershey Kisses mounted on a truck, or a pre-recorded phone message publicizing vacuum cleaners etc. is an effective source of advertising.
The conventional method of mobile marketing is still an alarming advertising scheme. As per the study done by TGI, nearly 61% of customers could recall seeing an ad on bus in the last seven days. Furthermore, this percentage soon jumped to approx 77% in urban areas like Central London. Additionally, moving billboards, taxi cabs, technology road shows, street teams, or any other type of moving advertisement can explain the impact of customary mobile marketing on consumers. A time when many people are spending wisely and shopping less, it is advisable to locate a marketing campaign that is efficient and cost effective in reaching the prospective consumers.
Mobile marketing is an appropriate solution to look for. In actual fact, a large number of retail brands are reaping the advantages of advertising through mobile or SMS devices. One of the primary things that companies do to start a mobile marketing operation is to get a small code solution that can be a shared either on a short code or a dedicated short code. Short codes are basically your personal business address for marketing. For instance, if a customer wants to know about the services offered by your company, then they can admit short codes to access the required information.
SMS Alerts is amongst the most popular solutions for mobile marketing. For just a small monthly fee, this service can supply your prospective customers with free information or promotional content about your product, services and the company. News agencies utilise this service to give investment news, weather reports and even updates on stock market. Meanwhile, retailers apply SMS Alert to offer promotional campaigns and sale announcements.
SMS Contests or SMS Voting’s are also popular forms of mobile marketing. Other popular kinds of SMS solutions consist of SMS Classified, SMS Gateway and SMS Feedback.
